Following a pre-strike meeting of the National Emergency Management Committee (NEMAC) held on Wednesday 26th September 2018 regarding the potential impact and forecast track of Tropical Storm Kirk; it was decided that all schools will be closed on Thursday, September 27, 2018 and Friday, September 28, 2018.

However, all principals and teachers are expected to report to their respective schools tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to activate their continuity of operations plans.

Please note that all private and public sector organizations will remain open.

It is expected that the island will begin to feel the effects of Tropical Storm Kirk as early as midday tomorrow. The full effect of the storm should be felt around 8:00 p.m. in the evening.

Please remain vigilant and continue to monitor the progress of the Storm.
