NEMO EXTENDS A THANK YOU

The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) wishes to inform the public that as indicated in the communication of December 05, 2017, December 18, 2017 was the final official shipment of relief supplies to Dominica.

NEMO would like to take this opportunity to thank the public and the business sector for their generous and continous assistance to the people of Dominica, whether in the form of donated items, well wishes, prayers and/or labour.  

Our profound gratitude is also extended to the Saint Lucia Cadet Corps for their dedicated support providing numerous hours of labour with the collection of donated items, packing of boxes and preparation of cargo into containers to be shipped to Dominica.  

We also wish to recognize the generosity of Geest Shipping Line and M&C Shipping by their donation of containers and the facilitation of shipment of those containers at no cost to the Government and People of Saint Lucia

To the staff of SLASPA who worked the extra hours to ensure that those containers were loaded and shipped, the Saint Lucia Coast Guard, the staff and volunteers of NEMO and everybody else who in some way contributed to the relief effort we wish to thank you profoundly. 

NEMO also takes this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and joyful season and best wishes for the coming year 2018.
